Arm yourself!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&#8230;originally intended to appeal to a family audience <sup id=\"cite_ref-9\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>as an educational program using time travel as a means to explore scientific ideas and famous moments in history&#8221;,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Doctor_Who\"><em>Doctor Who <\/em><\/a>premiered this week in 1963.\u00a0 The rest, as they say, is history.
