National Hispanic Heritage Month is drawing to a close, but there is still time to celebrate the heritage of our wonderful community members.<\/p>\r\n


The Cannell Library display was created to honor National Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15 to October 15. The collective dates mark the independence days of several Latin American countries. The arrangement features several cookbooks, children\u2019s literature, Hispanic artists, and Spanish language books.<\/p>\r\n


Check out a cookbook, plan a tasty menu with traditional ingredients, and share stories about the recipes with family and friends.<\/p>\r\n


Did you know the indigenous people of Latin America domesticated several plants; among these are three: corn, potatoes, and tomatoes. The trio is now popular around the world. Other native fruits and vegetables include squash, avocados, cactus, pineapple, papaya, guava, and mamay. Plus, chile peppers, achiote seeds, chocolate, and vanilla spice things up.<\/p>\r\n
