Pride Day (June 5) at Clark College is a day to celebrate diversity and promote equal rights and awareness for a marginalized group of people. Come check out our LBGTQA+ display. We have books related to marriage rights and laws, parenting, graphic novels such as Wet Moon and Blue is the Warmest Color, memoirs, art and film books, and more.

Title: Pride Day 2018 Schedule of Events Description: Queer Student Luncheon 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Location PUB 161, Join us as we build community and listen to Valerie Moreno describe her journey of being queer. Free food! Queer Student's Experience Panel 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Location: PUB 258 A Come and gain a new perspective as we discuss the difference between being Queer in the past and being Queer in 2018 Queer Resource Fair 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Location: GHL 101 Get to know the local resources that are available in the Portland/Vancouver area. Trans 101 Panel 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Location: PUB 258 A Come and listen to our panelists talk about their experiences with being Transgender. Language and Terminology Workshop 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Location: PUB 258 A Ever heard a term that you weren't able to understand? Well come and join us as we closely examine terms used in the LGBTQ+ community. Keynote: Aydian Dowling 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Location: GHL 101, Transgender activist, businessman and cover model for Men's Health Magazine, Aydian Dowling will be speaking about his journey transitioning, the importance of acceptance, and re-imagining masculinity in the age of #metoo.
