March is Women’s History Month

In honor of Women’s History Month, The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum join in paying tribute to the generations of women whose commitment to nature and the planet have proved invaluable to society.  Visit their website to read stories about and see images and videos of inspiring women.

The History.com website is also recognizing Women’s History Month, with photos, speeches, and videos documenting the contributions of women to history, culture and society.

And at Clark College, students and staff will celebrate Women’s History Month by portraying nearly 80 influential women in world history from 6-8 pm this Thursday, March 8th, in Foster Auditorium and from 12-3 pm Friday, March 9th, also in Foster Auditorium.  More details available at this website.
