This week’s CTC Book Pick comes from Nursing Assitant Certified (NAC) Program Director, Patricia Berglund. Her pick is the delightfully delicious, My Life in France, by Julia Child.

“This is one of the books I read while preparing for a trip to France; even though it was written from the memoirs of Julia Child when she lived in France in the 1950’s, the observations she made about France, French food and especially the people of France and French culture are pertinent today. Very enjoyable for anyone who loves French food or France, or wants to learn about them!”

Check out this book, and others, in our Discover Catalog! Remember, many items are also available through Summit, so if we don’t have it, we may know someone who does.

If you are a CTC student, faculty, or staff member who would like to recommend your own book picks, contact iCommons staff at 360-992-6138. For more information on book pick requirements, go here.

  1. This is such a neat program! What a wonderful way to showcase Clark’s collection, as well as letting the CTC community share ways their lives have been touched by books. Super cool!

  2. Thank you, Nora! This has been a lot of fun and such a great way to get new book recommendations. We hope to receive more picks from students, staff, and faculty. 🙂

    Best,
    Keelie
