If you see the following error: “There is a problem with this website’s security certificate”, or “Your connection is not private”, while accessing library databases, please:

  1. use a different browser (Firefox or Edge seem to be working), or, if this fails,

  2. follow these instructions from https://support.globalsign.com/customer/portal/articles/1353318-view-and-or-delete-crl-ocsp-cache:

WINDOWS
Go to Start Menu > Run
Type cmd and press Enter
Type certutil -urlcache * delete  and press Enter

Mac OS X
If you’d like to delete both OCSP and CRL cache, in a terminal, enter the following command:
sudo rm /var/db/crls/*cache.db

This issue is the GlobalSign Validation service system issue – see https://www.globalsign.com/en/status/  and will resolve itself on October 18, 2016.   In the meantime, there will be the certificate errors showing in some browsers.
