Black History Month

Last modified date

February is Black History Month.

In recognition of Black History Month, The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum have developed a website honoring “Black Women in American Culture and History”  and the myriad of roles African American women played in the shaping of our nation.

The History.com website is also celebrating Black History Month, with photos, speeches, and videos of achievements by black Americans.
