Liven up your summer with Rock and Roll music! Come visit the current display at the Cannell Library.

Made in America, the story of Rock and Roll began in the mid-1950s and evolved with the British invasion. The emergence of this new cultural tradition entered mainstream America through a mashup of genres including Rhythm and Blues, Gospel, Country, and Jazz. In blending together the various musical styles, Rock and Roll attracted a diverse global following, changing entertainment and its impact on culture forever more in the modern world.

Items in Clark College Libraries Rock and Roll Display explore the historical context in which Rock and Roll developed. Books and audio visual materials examine the industry and technology of Rock and Roll, visual culture, performance, and literary forms.
